Continuing Education

I've talked before about meeting other professionals in the industry and trying to learn different techniques in developing a perfect roast.  Today I cracked open some old textbooks from my undergrad days as a Mechanical Engineer.  The book talks about Thermal Conductivity, Heat of Evaporations, Convection, Radiation, etc.  It's fun getting into the weeds sometimes.  By understanding the process better we hope to bring finesse to the process.  In today's enrivonment, if you aren't improving, you are getting stale.

Here we come!

I still remember my first quality cup of coffee.  I was in Doha at a shop where I saw Kona on the menu.  It seemed odd to spend so much on a caffeine fix, but after that first sip I was hooked.  Even since then, I've been on a quest for the perfect cup.  That quest led me to coffee shops all over the world, then to becoming a home roasters.  Finally, I decided to work to share that quest with whoever wants to join.  Every cup in that journey is yet another waypoint.  Join us!
